• This fine old Ambete (or Mbete) power figure is made of quite hard wood, with a partially crusty surface from repeated offerings. The rectangular cavity in the back of the statue probably once contained MagicAmulets or pieces of bones.
• The object most likely dates back to the first half of the 20th century.
